2018 Season - Week 21

BUMSBowl XXIII Preview

The full preview will come out over the weekend as the owners have until 2pm Friday to submit their teams and then make changes if necessary. Underachieving Bastards seeded #3 will play the #6 seeded Tring Tarantulas who are making their BUMSBowl debut. Daz is looking to tie Chief and become the second owner to win the BUMSBowl on four occasions having won it in 1996, 1999 and 2006. Daz is 3-2 in the big game and 31-19 in the post season while AP is 20-22. They have played each other just 3 times in the playoffs with Daz winning all three, 19-12 in the Championship Round in 1996, the Divisional round a year later (32-12) and in that round again (30-28) in 2014. Road To The Final – Daz (#3) beat Wayne (#14) 24-18 in the wildcard round, then defeated David S (#16) 29-24 in the divisional round before a Scoring Hall of Fame performance against Mark (#7) 52-41 in the championship round. AP (#6 seed) beat Alex (#11) in the wildcard round 32-25, then Ron (#12) 36-14 in the divisional round before upsetting (#4) Craig in the championship round 43-34. Of historical note the number 3 seed has won the BUMSBowl four times, the number 6 seed just once. SuperBowl LIII Preview So New England will play in their ninth Superbowl in the last 18 seasons while the Rams have made three appearances, once as Los Angeles and twice as St Louis and have a 1-2 record. 25 years ago Robert Kraft bought the Patriots for $172million and they are now worth $3.8 billion off the back of their AFC domination in a sport designed for parity. Since he bought them the Pats have 32 playoff wins, 18 AFC East titles, 10 AFC Championships and 5 Superbowl wins. The Evil Empire’s Dynasty started with the Tuck Rule against the Raiders in the snow in 2002 and when they upset the Greatest Show on Turf, Superbowl favourite St Louis in the Rams last Superbowl appearance. Can the Rams get payback, slay the beast and end the Patriots dynasty. Apart from Alex I’m sure everyone reading hopes so. SuperGames And so we are a week away from SuperBowl LIII. If you cannot make it to HQ next Sunday for the big game but still want to have a wager or two, we will be playing the usual games at the traditional price of £1 per game. Remember all money is split equally between the games winners as gambling is the work of the devil and the BUMS is a non-profit making organisation. Attached are the price of the SuperBowl players so you can enter your team (usual play-off rules 1 x QB, 1 x K, 4 x Outfield Players for a maximum of $7.5m). The other games are First Player to Score (QB only if he runs it in), team leading by Quarter eg Tie,Tie,Patriots,Rams. (TTPR), Half-time score and Full-time score.
